Choosing a Career in the Field Of Law

The career of a lawyer is something which needs a good amount of specific skills even before going to pursue it as a career. But this is not the case with all the careers in the field of law. Here the terms 'law' and 'lawyer' are used to denote two different things which are related to law. To study law means to get enrolled in one of the prestigious law colleges and then complete the course. This can get you placed in many different legal positions in our private and public sector. But being a lawyer or an attorney is different from just taking classes on law.

A person should have a certain set of specific characteristics which are necessary to become successful in being a lawyer. There should be a self analysis before actually joining any of the institutions. We can get an idea on how this works by visiting local courts. There we will see how the court works, how lawyers are arguing the cases. You can have talks with the lawyers to see how the legal system is really working. Or else you can visit a career counselor for getting advice of how the system works.

What we can see is that law is a career for those who have a high level of independent studying skills. They should have good reading, writing, listening, and talking skills. They should be able to analyze the problems quicker than an average person. Other skills include arguing, debating, and public speaking skills. Along with this they should be very confident and should be patient. Some of these skills can be developed in a law college, but people who already possessing such skills will become better than others by improving on it during the training period.

If you have got some of these talents and is considering about joining a law school, then you should do a good research on the internet or other sources like counseling centers to explore more about the field. There are many specialized fields in law practice. This includes the practice of corporate law, tax law, civil law, employment law, family law, real estate law, international law etc. It would be better if you could choose your field of interest even before starting the course. Thereby you can concentrate more towards your goal of becoming one. This will also aid in acquiring appropriate programs for us to study in the college.

Top 5 Attributes of Successful CEOs

No matter how successful a business gets, learning remains indispensable to leadership. History tells us that those who kept their 'fire to learn' alive have ruled. Data made available by Harvard Business Review states that almost 60% of the companies that were industry leaders in the 1950s were still at the same spot in 1990, but more than 70% of industry leaders of 1990s no longer existed by 2005.

The times have changed. What worked before may not give the same results now. Leaders today are required to think different. Their companies demand business navigation through unpredictable times. The era of serene business waters has become history. Now they are required to sail their crew safely through 40-foot waves and guide them from port to port. The need is to remain highly effective in an environment of extraordinary, ongoing, relentless change.

Fortunately, a good CEO's job comes with no objective, quantifiable markers. The next big leaders can come from Mumbai's Dharavi or the laid-back city of San Diego. What defines them is not where they come from, but whether they have these key traits:

Vision
Arguably, for a company, nothing is more important than for its CEO to know where the market is today and how it is going to respond tomorrow. Steve Jobs recognized the aptitude of mobile computing before many others, just as Bill Gates understood the potential of PCs and their vision helped shape their respective companies. Consequently, having just-the-right-vision to comprehend the trends of the future trend has become a key trait for a successful CEO.

Macro-Perspective
While a CEO is expected to remain totally aware of the everyday activities of the organization and how the various factions stick together to take the company forward, the best CEOs do not let the seductive lure of micro management become a habit. Instead, they retain a highly efficient management team capable of handling these tasks.

Humanity
Human beings remain the center of whatever we do. From manufacturing needles to creating rockets and everything in between, every single action is performed with people at the core. And, in the process of doing that, it's genuine caring and compassion towards humanity that keeps a CEO humble and focused.

Customer Centricity
Successful CEOs look beyond technology to help customers genuinely. Their services and products are defined to address the needs of customers instead of just earning revenue. Great CEOs never let their customers' words and suggestions go waste. Through regular meetings, they have an endless supply of new ideas to share with stakeholders and help create improved products and a deeper understanding of customer requirements that can act as an ingredient for a successful business relationship.

Building an inspiring culture
The world's best CEOs understand the power of inspired colleagues and rate it much higher than employee engagement because it directly leads to inspired organizations. Inspiration is a part of the strategic DNA and a major differentiator in the success of many great figures. Building a work culture that inspires is how best-performing CEOs create a difference in the world.

That's our list. It is the product of lots of research and analysis. Let us know your feedback - especially if you ever been in the position to lead others.

Why Is Certification Necessary to Be a Successful Salesforce Consultant?

If you are aspiring to become a successful salesforce consultant then it is recommended that you get yourself certified. Getting a proper certification is useful in several ways. In this article we will discuss why certification is necessary to become an eligible consultant.

Most of the consulting firms seek to hire candidates that have an administrator certification, along with the service cloud or sales cloud consultant certifications. There are several companies that select consultants based on the number of valid certifications that they possess. There are some firms that will hire candidates and sponsor the training programs, while there are some that select professionals who are already certified.

No wonder a certified professional is much more qualified and eligible for the job than someone who is uncertified. This is simply because there's much more responsibilities involved in a job than just coding. When you have a proper certification, it provides a baseline of knowledge that the candidate is expected to have, and hence expectations are more from a certified individual. Furthermore, the salesforce certification tests are known to be difficult, hence someone who has passed this difficult examination is sure to have in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field.

More than what it actually stands for, the salesforce certification is most priceless as a flag on a curriculum vita. The companies receive a lot of resumes for job postings on a regular basis. As many people are looking for jobs in the current economy, you are sure to find a plethora of candidates for a vacant post. The job sites are flooded with resumes of all types, and they have made it possible to find suitable jobs with just a few clicks.

The companies however need to filter those resumes and find the suitable candidate for a job. The HR department is the main unit responsible with filtering the candidates and finding the right individual for a post. With the advancement of the computer programs and systems, the job of an HR analyst is carried out by a computer program. The screening process is usually based on several criteria and certification is one of the most important criteria when looking for professional salesforce consultants.

Besides helping in the screening process, the certification also helps in improving your current job outlook. As a salesforce consultant, your promotion, pay hikes, responsibility and goals are usually based on various factors including your certification. However, before you commit to getting a certification, you should make sure that the certification will help you achieve your coveted goal.

As already mentioned, having a certification will not necessarily make you qualified for a particular job. Getting a certification actually helps you go that extra mile and indicate that you are actually serious about your career. The supervisors will also be willing to give more responsibilities to an individual with certification.

Although there are many companies that pay for training and certification, they will not give you the extra time required to prepare for the exams. Hence, it makes sense to get salesforce consultant certification if you are really serious about the career.

Property Management Jobs: What Does a Property Manager Actually Do?

One thing that you will need to get used to if you are considering becoming a property manager is multitasking. As a property manager you will be responsible for the many tasks involved in letting out a property to multiple tenants. Not only will you be the first person that is contacted whenever a tenant has a problem, you will also be the first person that is contacted whenever the property owner has a problem with a tenant. Although, many unexpected tasks tend to creep into the day to day running of a large rental property, here are a few tasks that are pretty much standard.

Finding Suitable Tenants

You will be responsible for deciding who does and who does not rent an apartment in the building. This responsibility includes handling all applications received and performing all necessary background and credit checks to make sure that only suitable tenants are chosen.

It is also worth mentioning that tenants don't hand in applications for apartments that they don't know about so you will also be responsible for advertising vacancies. It is your responsibility to make sure that empty apartments and rooms don't stay that way for long.

Another important aspect of finding tenants involves arranging appointments for viewings.

This not only requires that you liaise with potential tenants but you will also need to make sure that each apartment involved is clean and ready to be viewed.

Collecting the Rent

Among many other financial matters, you will be responsible for collecting the rent each month. You will also have to deal with any tenants that are late with the rent including carrying out evictions wherever necessary.

Handling Complaints

The receipt and subsequent handling of complaints is another important aspect of the daily routine of a property manager. Depending upon the size of the property that you will be managing, you may receive complaints pretty regularly and they will have to be handled both fairly and in accordance with the terms and conditions of each tenants rental agreement.

Maintenance

Although most property managers do not perform maintenance themselves, all property managers are responsible for making sure that it does get done. When something malfunctions in the property, you are likely to be the first person that is called. You will also be responsible for making sure that the property is generally well kept.

Documentation and Accounting

If you are not a fan of paper work, the role of property manager is probably not one that you will enjoy. Not only will you be in charge of making sure that all tenants sign a rental agreement but many property owners also require the property manager working for them to do large amounts of accounting pertaining to the incoming rent and outgoing expenses of their property.

In conclusion, working as a property manager is great for those that are looking for a diverse and challenging position, in which they will be kept constantly busy. It is probably not however the best position for somebody that is easily frazzled when expected to do more than one thing at a time.

More than 100 million education background checks are performed each year by employers around the globe using third party education verification and background search companies. This is a huge figure which reveals that education is the most prominent factor in deciding an applicant's future.

Vehicle owners, however, must be aware that the old-fashioned, money saving strategy of displaying one on the windows of a car can be illegal in some city. The legality regarding this matter varies depending on the law or ordinance that a particular state enforces. So, it is advisable to review the regulations and restrictions in your community or city before placing an advertisement on the windows of your vehicle.

Apart from using for sale signs for cars, there are different ways to advertise products and below are a few other potential avenues to sell used cars.

1. Internet

2. Newspaper ads

3. Trade-in dealer

4. Word of mouth

5. Online classified ads

Lastly, potential buyers are attracted to vehicles that show they have been cared for properly, so before posting for sale signs for cars on the windows of your automobile, you have to make sure that its look and condition is at its best. Vehicles that appear to be in great condition tend to sell more quickly and at a better selling value.

What Does A Fashion Designer Do?

Fashion designing is deemed as one of the most successful careers in the modern world. They can easily make a lot of money by making creative designs in the field of clothing accessories. Fashion designers are the ones who create original designs for clothing, footwear and other accessories. They make sketches, selects patterns and fabrics to be used, and oversee the production of the products in the manufacturing unit. There are a lot of duties to be performed by a fashion designer to become successful in this field.

A fashion designer should be well aware of the trends in the fashion world and should anticipate the type of design which will appeal to the masses. Most of the designers create their designs as collection. Before making a collection of clothing they will have to choose a theme for it. The whole collection will be consisting of clothing, foot wear and other accessories which will match with them. Such designs can be made by hand sketches or by computer aided designs. Most of the times, the designs start with hand sketches and the final designs will be developed in computer aided design programs.

One important factor which is overlooked by most of the budding fashion designers is in the selection of fabrics. A professional designer will be keen about choosing such fabrics which are not yet released in the market. For achieving this they will go to trade shows for getting the right fabric designs or make pacts with the fabric manufacturers for creating specially designed ones for them. The design of clothing will become final only when all the accessories which go with them are designed. Before creating the finalized products they will fist make a prototype collection of all the dresses to make sure about its functionality. Then with the help of a team of designers and workers they create the final product.

The final stage of designing a collection is to market it successfully to the consumers. In this modern world the options available for marketing the products are easier than before. The designs and ideas that are devised can be taken to a creative director and showcase them in fashion shows and other trade shows. After the launch of the products you can send it to the retail market or start your own store for selling them. The latest available option is to start an online store and give a lot of advertisements for promoting them. Advertisement will create a brand name for the designer and the products made by him; and the online sale will aid in getting a lot of profit than selling through physical stores.

Career tests are a must for all professions, including that of a fashion designer. Click here to know more about career tests.

Getting Your Foot in the Door

There are several differ subspecialties in the electrician field and getting to know about them is a good step in determining which field best suits your skills and goals. In this article you will find information about two types that may be considered a simpler and faster career path. They may not pay as much as the other fields but it is a foot in the door and a way to start making money as an electrician while you contemplate seeking a higher paying position in the electrical field.

Telecommunications: Technician/Installer

Some subspecialties of the electrical field, such as a telecommunications technician/installer, require a job specific electrician training. For instance, telecommunications technicians that install and maintain Internet services provided by telephone companies or cable TV companies are trained by those companies to work exclusively with their equipment.

Each local company uses their own brands of equipment such as routers, modems, switches etc... Telecommunications experts work with the same products over and over as they install and maintain networks in homes and businesses. Often the training programs to work as a telecommunications technician is short, but it's important to remember that becoming trained by one company will not necessarily prepare an individual to work for another company because that next company might use totally different equipment, have different job protocols and a different set of job requirements simply to become one of their trainees.

Network Installer

If you're thinking about electrician training to become a network installer or because you want to work on and install TV cable services, you would be best off to contact the various companies in your area that provide these services rather than enroll in a technical school or community college. Many of the electrician training programs offered through institutional settings are geared more towards preparing individuals for residential and inside wiring.

However, local TV service providers and telephone companies offer training programs to become their certified telecommunications technicians/installers. Sometimes telephone companies have programs specifically for people to work with internet services and home networks. Often times these companies will also pay you a stipend while you are being trained and get you working in the field as fast as they can.

Taking Your Career as an Electrician to the Next Level

The sky is the limit in the electrical field and if you have well thought out goals and drive you will reap the benefits of a stable career with great earning potential.

Job Outlook for Nurses Is Outstanding According to the Department of Labor

Registered Nurse Report
This comes from the US Department of Labor and is their 2010-2011 Occupational Guide. Here are highlights of the report:

Registered nurses (RNs) constitute the largest healthcare occupation, with 2.6 million jobs.About 60 percent of RN jobs are in hospitals. The three typical educational paths to registered nursing are a bachelor's degree, an associate degree, and a diploma from an approved nursing program; advanced practice nurses-clinical nurse specialists, nurse anesthetists, nurse-midwives, and nurse practitioners-need a master's degree.Overall job opportunities are expected to be excellent, but may vary by employment and geographic setting; some employers report difficulty in attracting and retaining an adequate number of RNs.Employment of nurses is expected to grow by 22% much faster than the average of all occupationsNurses with a bachelor's degree are more sought after than nurses without one

One of the most interesting things about the job outlook is that they say that growth in nursing in hospitals will be much lower than in other places like working in doctor's offices, nursing homes, home healthcare and in other parts of the medical field. Just because it is growing slower doesn't mean that there still isn't quite a significant growth in jobs in the hospital setting.

Other interesting things in the report are that in some areas of the country they are having such a difficult time attracting nurses that employers are offering relocation assistance (money to relocate), signing bonuses which are cash bonuses when you officially agree to work for them, family friendly scheduling and other incentives to attract qualified candidates.

In 2008, here were the median wages of nurses:

Employment services (those who work as head hunters) $68,160General medical and surgical hospitals 63,880Offices of physicians 59,210Home health care services 58,740Nursing care facilities 57,060

The report also talks about the types of jobs that nurses have and their responsibilities and the opportunities for advancement. Here are some of the interesting points about registered nurse advancement:

Most RNs start out as staff nurses in hospitalsMany RNs go on to become advanced practice nurses such as nurse practitioners, nurse anesthetists or nurse midwivesMany nurses in the hospital environment find advancement opportunities in management and supervisory positions in the hospitalMany nurses move their career into the business side of healthcare. It isn't uncommon for nurses to go academically to get an MBA degree and enter the business world and it is not unheard of that nurses go on to become lawyers.

It is important to remember that healthcare is a big business that hires many people who work very far from the patient's bedside. In many, many of these jobs, it is really important that the people have a real and tangible healthcare background. Nursing provides that background.

It is also worthwhile to keep in mind that there are several important factors that are driving the increase in the need for nurses. Firstly, the aging population means more sick people. The baby boomers are getting into their 60s and the need for more healthcare at that age increases dramatically. That means there is a need for more nurses. Secondly, whatever healthcare reform looks like, it will likely increase the access many people have to healthcare. People who couldn't afford healthcare or it wasn't a financial priority will be able to get healthcare under the new programs being discussed. This will drive the demand for more doctors.

Florida based freelance journalist Jim O'Donnell often writes on civil and economic topics and is interested in healthcare issues and particularly the quality of healthcare career education. The MBA Vs A Specialty Business Degree

The selection of graduate degree can be a very important choice for students. It is certainly an investment of a tremendous amount of time and money. Among business graduate degrees, the big choice is usually whether to pursue the broad scope Masters of Business Administration with a specialization or a more narrow focus specialty degrees, such us the Masters of Health Administration or the Masters of Real Estate Development.

Either choice leads to greater career opportunities for the student. A number of upper level management positions, especially in large corporations, view that level of education as a prerequisite. While some do not specifically require it, they will give preference to a job candidate who has the degree over one who does not.

The MBA has a number of advantages over other graduate business degrees. The first would be that the Masters of Business Administration has a two part philosophy. The first half of the program, the student studies core subjects that are applicable to all areas of business management. During the remainder, the student goes further in depth as to how business administration is applied to a specialty area, for example human resources or international business. Because of that structure, focusing first on just the skills of managing a business, the MBA is the most versatile of any higher education degree.

Because of the broad approach, it is also the single best degree for entrepreneurialism. No other degree does a better job of preparing someone to start their own business. As small business owners have to wear many hats and adapt to changing business situations, they require a familiarity with all aspects of business where someone in a more traditional corporate job would not. That is to say that an accounting manager at a bank might never need to know anything about marketing.

In terms of income, the MBA can make a big difference. Someone who only has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with 5-9 years of experience commands a median salary of $51,376 compared to a MBA with 5-9 years of experience who earns a median salary of $68,989. It can even have more impact in specialty areas, like healthcare administration.

There is also an advantage that is not as easy to quantify. Everyone seeking the degree is probably already involved in business management to some extent already with aspirations of advancement. This turns classrooms into great networking opportunities.

Three Powerful Strategies for Using Facebook for Recruitment

Businesses are increasingly flocking to Facebook to leverage the massive marketing opportunity that is freely available on the world's biggest social networking website. There is, however, one business aspect that most companies fail to see its connection with Facebook-scouring for talent and hiring them. Only a very tiny fraction of all job placements are reported to have been done through Facebook because a lot of recruiters are still not aware of the potential power of the world's most trafficked website. Yes, Facebook has already overtaken Google in late 2010.

Let's take a look at the reasons why you should be on Facebook right now. For one thing, Facebook had a total of 901 million active users in April 2012, giving it the potential to be your biggest talent pool ever. Facebook also encourages a "let them come to us" recruiting strategy, allowing recruiters to attract only candidates who are interested in their job openings, as opposed to the "spray and pray" strategy that recruiters usually take on when they use online job boards. Another reason is the social networking giant's pay-per-click advertisements are way more affordable than paying a couple hundred of dollars to post on a job board.

Still skeptical? Take a look at these Facebook recruitment strategies and evaluate their results.

Use Facebook apps.

One promising app that can take recruiting to the next level is an app from SocialBios. It not only allows recruiters to post job listings on their page's job board tab, it also allows candidates to see if there is somebody at the company with whom they are connected or share common interests. They can learn more about the kind of people who work for the company, depending on their privacy restrictions, and send an inquiry to these people. The company's workers can then choose to refer the candidate to the hiring manager or completely ignore the request. Other tabs apps that could be useful are Job Magic and Work for Us.

Build a Facebook community.

Create a Facebook group based upon the industry you are servicing or a specific position. Little promotion is needed to build a community, but a commitment to share valuable information that the members of your group can find a lot of uses for. It is also important that you encourage your group members to participate in the discourse and share their own content. This is easier said than done for the inexperienced, but there are tested methods of soliciting user-generated content. Group-only contests that request users to share their stories, photos or videos are one such method. You can also post interesting or controversial articles and ask for people's opinion to start a healthy debate.

Reach a targeted audience.

Facebook's targeted advertisements allow you to choose exactly the kind of Facebook user who can see your job ads. For example, you can set your ads to appear only to female writers aged 24 to 30 and who live within 100 miles of Sydney, Australia. Or you can choose your ad to appear to all male and female online gamers aged 18 to 65. Heck, you can even choose your competitor's employees as your only audience, but you might not want to do that. The point is Facebook allows you to target candidates who might actually be interested in your job opening. That is a whole lot easier than sifting through numerous CVs sent in through the job boards by random people who are not suited to the job.

Unsecured Loans For The Unemployed Individuals

Every person anywhere in the world without a job yet he/she is completely able and willing to work is faced with lots of challenges. Financial challenges especially. Every normal human being wants to meet his/her financial obligations from buying food and paying for basic utilities without any difficulties. Otherwise, the stress can catch up with you. What with the landlord being on your neck and most of your bills in arrears. Unsecured loans for the unemployed will help you alleviate some of these burdens.

Unsecured loans for the unemployed is a form of loan that was designed specifically to help people with no jobs overcome their financial difficulties. It is common in developed countries such as the United States and the UK.

It is not criminal to not be out of a job. Especially since the economic recession that gripped many developed countries from the year 2008 and whose effects are yet to be wholly curtailed. Lots of people lost their jobs and many lenders came up with the provision for providing this large group with the finances not just out of good will but since they also stand to make good money out of this scheme.

One of the good things about unsecured loans for the unemployed is that many do not require any form of collateral or security against the loan. The lender will definitely not give every Tom, Dick and Harry the funds without some proof that he/she won't default on the payment. The conditions for qualification are few and easy to meet. Just make sure you choose a lender who has the best terms and no hidden charges.
The money offered in unsecured loans for the unemployed has a certain limit, however. This is due to the fact that no security is needed. It goes a long way in helping you meet some of your pressing financial needs though.

As mentioned above, take time to research on the lender with the deal that favors you. Bank rates may be a bit high. You can easily find a lender online and take the time to compare their rates in addition to the terms and conditions. For instance, the normal lending rate may be 7 % per annum and you happen to stumble upon a lender giving the loan at 4 %. Don't be too quick to jump in since some of these rates are monthly or even worse, such a rate on a weekly basis! Other things you need to know are if the lender considers bad credit, the lender's reputation and the amount you need.

You'll find that unsecured loans for the unemployed will be more favorable if you follow the above tips and make your payment on time.

A Personal Branding Strategy for Your Career Search

In this turbulent economy, companies still face the challenge of maximizing productivity. Essential to achieving that mission is making cost effective, purchase decisions that add value to the "bottom line". Effective managers must maximize return on investment from every resource - especially human resources. Therefore, making excellent hiring decisions is critical to achieving the success of an organization.

The goal of employers in today's job market is to find the "ideal" candidate for every job opening. Facing a "lean" job market, the goal of every jobseeker should be to present themselves as the ideal candidate for a specific career opportunity. From the employer's perspective, finding the right person for a job is not just a hiring decision - it is also a purchase decision. Therefore, it is imperative that you package yourself in a way that makes you more attractive than all of the other "products" available in the marketplace.

Employers want to know more than whether you can simply do the job. It is also necessary that you can align with the mission, values and philosophy of the company. Are you an Experienced I.T. Professional or a Technology Industry Change Agent? Different organizations may require or desire one or the other. However if you're not the right fit for the specific opportunity you're applying for, the savvy hiring manager will know. Most importantly, you don't want to waste your time applying for one position, if you are really better suited to another one that is available elsewhere. Many unfocused jobseekers apply over and over again for positions that they're not suited for, expecting to sneak in the back door. Well here's an important newsflash - savvy employers aren't "buying it".

It is essential that you identify and effectively communicate your Brand Promise. This is your statement or statements that combine what you are, with what you can deliver to the company. Anybody can say "I am a hard working professional who has produced quality results" and many people make such generic statements all of the time. My advice is that you go in another direction. I would suggest something more like: "I am a Technology Industry Change Agent who works well with teams and independently, to solve complex problems and maximize the productivity of a dynamic I.T. Department." This type of Brand Promise distinguishes your uniqueness and establishes the value you will bring to the organization.

In addition to creating a customized resume and cover letter for each position, you should also be prepared to make a full presentation of your entire Career Portfolio. Written letters of recommendation; copies of awards and certificates as well as documentation of academic achievements should be made available upon the request of the prospective employer. All of these items can be compiled into a "Brag Book" A "Brag Book" is a binder or folder containing documentation of your academic and career accomplishments that you can present to a job interviewer. It effectively serves the same presentation function as a businesses portfolio, which one company would provide to another in a Business to Business or "B2B" setting.

In the final analysis, and individual must undertake many of the same steps to get their next job as a business does in order to get their next client. So just like a businessperson, you should also create a business card and start actively networking. Although "Job Boards", social and professional networking sites and even blogging are great outlets for showcasing your personal brand, most new career opportunities are discovered through "face-to-face" Networking. Nevertheless, whether it is online or in person, utilizing the aforementioned strategies will set you apart from the competition in the execution of an effective personal branding strategy for career success.

Most companies would agree that it's crucial to have a logo that would easily capture potential client's attention. It is considered as the initial step to ensure that your business is not left behind. In fact, a good design should convey a message of professionalism, credibility, and competence.

Top Notch Marketing Strategy

With the current slow moving economy and cost cutting, it is important to think of creative ways to advertise a business and the best way to promote a product or service is through logos. This can be done through the use of a professional and sleek corporate icon design.

Each art piece has to be unique, distinct, and memorable. It should portray business stability, trust, and competence. You may seek help from a professional graphic designer or make a logo online through available web sites and software. Apart from attracting potential clients, a good design should stand out. It should also be able to depict the core values of the business and its level of service quality. It is the best way to be remembered by your valued clients.

Business Logo Made Easy

When business owners make a logo online, they would not only reduce their costs, they can also maximize the use of their capital. Through these creative symbols, it is easier to give your product a name and identity of its own.

Each art piece has to effectively communicate with your client. It is equally important to give them the right impression at a glance. It should identify your business, build trust and confidence, and reassure potential clients that you are the best choice. An effective design represents a strong business. It stands the test of time and creates bond between business and potential clients.

Here are some key points to ensure that long lasting image of success.

· One or Two colors - A business' visual representation should look good whether in monochromatic scheme or combined with other colors. It is significant to choose contrasting colors that would emphasize shape, edges, and other visual elements.

· Don't follow the pack - A distinct art piece should be easy to remember and leaves a "like no other" impression. This would help clients identify your business, product, and service at a glance.

· Branding - It is important to consider how customers perceive your business. A trademark will greatly help to increase their awareness about your product.

What makes a business recognizable is the "positive" perception of its client. Simply put, branding is what customers think when they see your logo in brochure, billboards, letterheads, and other promotional materials.

· Shapes and Taglines - Another important consideration in choosing a logo is its shapes and taglines. It helps clients to further understand what the business is about.

Taglines are used to enhance corporate image and brand recall. The importance of taglines and distinct shapes should not be over looked. It makes companies successful and famous.

Can you think which company has these taglines?

"Think Different"

"It's the real thing"

"The happiest place on earth"

"Invent"

"Finger lickin' good"

"We bring good things to life"

"Just do it"

"Connecting People"

"For Life"

Darwin Palmer believes that a creative mind can make something out of nothing. He has over 20 years of professional experience in the logo and web design industry.
